Am 12. Mai 2021 hat die Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft in Dortmund ihre erste Online-Begegnung mit dem Leeds Anglo-German Club veranstaltet. Mit Hilfe von ZOOM kamen insgesamt ca. 24 deutsch- und englischsprachige Dortmunder*innen und Leedser*innen zusammen. Bereits nach 10 Sekunden waren die Gespräche in vollem Gange! Das Treffen kam bei allen bestens an (s. Kommentare der Beteiligten unten), vor allem wegen der guten, freundschaftlichen Atmosphäre. Das nächste Treffen ist bereits für die zweite Juni-Hälfte geplant.
On 12th May 2021, the Dortmund Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft organised the first Online Get-Together with the Anglo-German Club in Leeds. With the help of ZOOM, around 24 English and German speaking people met each other, and after only ten seconds they were deep in conversation! Everybody enjoyed the evening (cf. the comments below), above all because of the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A second meeting has been planned for the second half of June.
